This Privacy Policy explains what information Jaybalo Studio ("we", "us") collects, why we collect it, and how it is used. It is written to be clear and practical; it does not constitute legal advice, and you should have it reviewed by a qualified legal professional before relying on it for compliance purposes.
Information We Collect
Account information
When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and a securely hashed password (or an OAuth identity if you sign up with Google or GitHub).
Payment information
When you purchase a course, payment is processed by our payment provider. We store the transaction reference, amount, currency, and status — we do not store your card details.
Contact information
If you submit a project inquiry, we collect the details you provide, such as your name, email, company, and project description.
Course progress
If you enroll in a course, we track your lesson completion and progress so you can resume where you left off.
OAuth information
If you sign in with Google or GitHub, we receive your name, email, and profile photo from that provider, as permitted by their APIs.
Cookies and analytics
We use cookies as described in our Cookie Policy . Analytics cookies are only active if you opt in.
How We Use Information
We use collected information to operate your account, deliver purchased courses, respond to inquiries, secure the platform, and — only with consent — understand site usage through analytics.
Service Providers
We share data with service providers strictly as needed to operate the platform: our payment processor, our email delivery provider, and our hosting provider.
YouTube API Services
Jaybalo Studio uses YouTube API Services to publish our own short-form videos to our own YouTube channel through an internal scheduling tool. By using any feature of ours that connects to YouTube, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service , and your information is also handled under the Google Privacy Policy .
When a channel owner authorises the tool, we receive an OAuth access token and refresh token, and read the channel's name to confirm the right channel is connected. We use the token only to upload videos and set their title, description, tags and privacy status. We do not access, store or share viewer data, comments, analytics or any other YouTube user data, and we do not share the token or any YouTube data with third parties. The token is stored only on the device that runs the tool; no cookies are placed in connection with YouTube API Services.
You can revoke the tool's access at any time from the Google security settings page . To have any stored YouTube API data deleted, contact us at the address below; we will delete it within 7 days of your request.
Data Retention
We retain account and purchase data for as long as your account is active, and as needed to comply with legal and tax obligations.
Security
We use industry-standard practices including password hashing, encrypted connections, and server-side authorization checks to protect your data.
Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us at the address below. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe.
International Transfers
Where applicable, data may be processed in a country other than your own by our infrastructure or service providers.
Children's Privacy
This platform is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above.
